A favourite entry for unwelcome visitors is open windows; remember to secure all windows when you leave the house.

For insurance purposes your windows need:

• Key lockable window locks to all ground floor windows and windows on upper floors that can be accessed from a flat roof (garage. Conservatory, porch, extension etc)*
• Windows must be secured when the property is empty.

*Although INS regs state that only the above windows need key lockable locks in our opinion all windows should have said locks.
